Moving to Wanaka with a family of four from a farm several years ago was easy - but finding a spacious family home that still felt a little bit rural was not. Finding this home when it was just completed fulfilled all their requirements - four spacious bedrooms and a gym which they converted to a 5th bedroom, fantastic garaging (as you know when you move from a farm all the "bits" you have), a fantastic family sized kitchen which they could all sit around, a separate office, a second lounge and enough space for the dogs that came with them also from the farm.

They added an in ground swimming pool (11m) meaning summers of enjoyment for their children and their children's friends. This was the place kids loved to come to with grounds of around an acre of fantastic lawn space giving plenty of room for cricket, bullrush and hide and seek. Further planting and establishing of trees and shrubs has meant they have a lovely private position where they can enjoy the views to the mountains but feel as though they are still in the country.

Located only a couple of minutes drive to the lakefront at Hawea and 10 minutes from Wanaka they enjoyed being much closer to a township than when they were on the farm and kids could attend Hawea Flat primary and later catch the bus to Mt Aspiring College.

Although the children have nearly all flown the nest this is still a home they love to come back too but our owners feel it is now the time to down size. So if you are that family looking for a place for you and your children to enjoy a country lifestyle at a much more affordable price than if you were to buy the same property in Wanaka then you need to take a look at this.
